Joel began working for Berg & Berg in 2013 as a law clerk. During law school at the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign he also worked at a large downstate law firm that specialized in representing personal injury victims and injured workers. He helped prepare many cases for trial and gained significant experience in effectively advocating for injured clients. In his final semester of law school he rejoined Berg & Berg by participating in the law school’s Chicago program to focus on practicing in the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation and joined the firm as an associate in 2015.
Joel currently concentrates his practice on personal injury and workers’ compensation claims representing clients in all aspects of litigation including trials, mediations, and arbitration hearings. Joel also has defended clients for criminal matters in traffic, misdemeanor, and felony courts throughout the Chicagoland area.
Joel received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law. Prior to law school Joel earned his B.A. from Wheaton College, Illinois by double majoring in English and Ancient Languages.
